Welcome to my site where you will find photography, digital art and prints of my paintings. If you would like to buy an original Painting please go to straitsviewfineart.com I also am happy to entertain commissions . I was raised in Michigan and grew up with a true love of the beautiful wild landscape that surrounded me there . I studied studio art in Vermont and have held an eclectic mix of odd jobs since then , including working in a Crab Cannery in Alaska to Milking cows in Vermont. I have always been an artist and find myself experimenting with various mediums ... Photography, Painting, sculpture and digital art . It has been a slow and steady love affair for me that involves showing people the world through my eyes....

Rory Sagner
This is wonderful in so many ways! Has a strong graphic/design impact, but a very "other reality" feeling to it. Love the symbolism. Excellent image! v/f
Marysue Ryan replied:
Thanks Rory, this was a fun project an experiment really. People have really responded to it though. I appreciate your help so much
Cheri Randolph
Marysue, truly an innovative and mesmerizing work. I, too, love the freedom expressed by the flying birds, the invitation to the viewer to search the depths presented. I also find that it is representational of a sunrise or sunset over water, perhaps symbolizing a continuation of life cycles. So, many interpretations & very well conceived! voted
Marysue Ryan replied:

Thank you Joan. I really appreciate it. This was a fun project , something different for me that is for sure but I had fun doing it and people seemed to respond to it . It is composed of all photographs although I think it looks more like a painting .

Ann Johndro-Collins
Welcome, Marysue. This image from your portfolio is simply stunning! Beautifully composed and surreal...the water and floating particles give a sense of freedom to enter and leave the soul at will and the eye has the power to draw the viewer in as a participant. Interesting on many levels. Voted and favored.
Marysue Ryan replied:
THANK YOU so much for your wonderful comment Ann. I really appreciate it . and you really got it . This image is composed all of photographs (that is my eye) The flecks are crows ... anyway.. It was an experiment for me I treated it like a painting ... It was fun to do. Thank you for looking Cheers !
